Participle clauses Unit 93

Unit 93

Participle clauses

Present Participle (-ing-

Past Participle (форма на -ed):

- The lady typing in the next room is our secretary. (-ing-

- The man injured in the accident was taken to hospital.

- The lady is typing in the next room.

- The lady typing in the next room is our secretary.

r someone doing something см.Unit 66.

- The bridge joining the two parts of the city is very beautiful.

(=the bridge joins the two parts of the city.)

- The man injured in the accident was taken to hospital.

- None of the people invited to the party can come.

Например: stolen/made/bought/written и т.д.:

- The hours spent in hospital seemed to change his whole life.

(=the hours were spent in hospital .)

Appendix 2.

оборотов there is/there was и т.д.

- There were a lot of people waiting for him.

Unit 67.
