A matter of considerable controversy at present is the issue of whether …… or……. Strong arguments exist in support of both sides of this debate, which implies that it is worth examining both points of view before reaching any conclusions.

One obvious advantage of …… is…… An additional benefit to the issue is…… A good example that springs to my mind here is…… Finally, the idea of …… should not also be neglected, as it adds more weight in support of the argument.

Nonetheless, there is one very convincing point/ argument against the…… For instance, …… A further common criticism of ……, with the opponents pointing out to the ……. apparently reveals/ divulges the other side of the coin. Eventually, claims that…….. prove to show another negative aspect of the issue.

All things considered, my subjective view on this contentious issue is…….

Cause & effect essay

The concerns surrounding the problem of…… have considerably escalated; increasing awareness of the general public towards the issue. Notwithstanding the fact that attempts have been undertaken to tackle this nuisance, there is still a lot to be done to exterminate the problem.

The most effective way in dealing with this situation is, first of all, through turning urgent attention to the underlying causes of the problem. Obviously, the predominant cause which brings about the current concern is…… A clear solution to this would be to …… .

Steps should also be taken to overcome the problem by fighting against the …(another cause)….. which originates this irresolvable situation. The responsibility should fall to the government (or individuals)  to…… . As a result of such actions…….. .

One final solution, which would help enormously, is to…….. This would help society as a whole, and …….

To sum up, there are several measures which could be undertaken to improve the …… If the efforts are implemented at a right time the situation would be eased appreciably.

Opinion Essay

Perhaps the idea of …… has become a widespread one in recent decades, with many individuals holding different beliefs on it. Personally I definitely (partially) agree/disagree with the above expressed statement, and there are many compelling reasons to support my view.

In the first place, I think it is  ……, as …… . The fact that …… would be particularly best illustration here.

In addition, not only……. But also…… . This is a result of …… Furthermore … serves as an additional example that proves the side of the argument being held by me.

There are those who argue, on the other hand, that…… It is true to advocate that…… . Yet, I’m unconvinced that……  since the idea of ……. Shouldn’t be neglected as well.  It is my belief that…….

On balance, I claim/ maintain that…..
